Assessment

Once you’ve signed up to SiteWise as a contractor (level 3 user) you’ll be asked to complete an annual 12-step online health and safety assessment. Think of it like a health and safety warrant of fitness for your business!

For each question you’ll be asked to upload evidence which will be used to calculate your SiteWise score. The evidence you upload must be less than 12 months old. At any point you can save your assessment and come back to finish it later.

The assessment covers:

• Insurance policy information
• Health and safety policy and procedures
• Health and safety meetings
• Accident/incident reporting and investigation
• Hazard management
• Inspections
• Training and qualifications
• Employee and subcontractor engagement
• Health monitoring and performance

Once you’ve completed your online assessment it will be assigned to one of our health and safety experts who will give you a grading. Our SiteWise grading system works like this:

The goal of your assessment will be getting to green or gold.

Once your assessment is complete you’ll also receive a detailed electronic report with your grading, along with any suggestions for improvement from your online assessor. We aim to turn around all online assessments in 5-10 working days.

If you don’t get the score you’d like in your first attempt then you can upload more evidence and try again – if it’s your first year using the system then a total of three assessment attempts are included in your introductory $210+gst. In your second year, one assessment is included in your registration fee. Additional assessments can be purchased at 100+gst.

NB. reassessments must be completed within 6 months of your last assessment (or you will need to undertake an annual assessment).
